Throughout undergrad I met turbulent times- working through a pandemic, a university strike, commuting back and forth to classes through NYC floods and blizzards, and working weekends as a waitress. I switched from being a design student at Parsons (lessons in creative thinking I still apply in my academic work today), to finding my home in the psychology department at Lang. However, all of this would not have been possible without the immense support and love from the people around me; including my family, teachers, friends, and colleagues.
I see this achievement in the context of my early education in pre-k, and am excited to continue learning into graduate school. I would especially like to thank my immigrant grandparents, who took care of me everyday after elementary school- driving and feeding me while my parents worked. In addition to my family, I would also like to thank mentors such as Dr. Pani Farvid, Emily Weiss, and Sally McHugh, for always showing me new directions for growth. β€οΈ
